Shigu

Stone Drum town gets its name from a large marble table that is shaped like a drum。The drum is an engraved memorial that headman Mu gong。Established to honor his victory over the northern Tufan。Army，in 1548。

THE STONE DRUM TABLE

The Stone Drum Table has a crack across it。The local people believe that the crack exised ever since the stone was formed and during warring periods of history the crack would open up。Then during peaceful time the crack would close。

FIRST BEND OF YANGZE RIVER

This is a spectacular view of the Yange River，As the Yangze River approaches Stone Drum Town ，it takes nearly a 180 degree turn from south to north。Through—out history 。this has made Stone Drum Town an important military site。

MINORITIES

There are Naxi ，Bai ，Lisu，Pumi，Han Minorities。They live together。And they are kindly and friendly。
