Situated in west Yunnan, Dali is well known for its varied history and culture. It was one of the earliest cradles of frontier culture in southwest china. During the Tang and Song Dynasty, the kingdoms of Nanzhao and Dali ---“Town of Culture”, the beautiful landscapes of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai lake are known all over the world. And thus reputed as “A Park of Nature”.
Dali was also a vital hub of communications on the Shu—Indian Road and The Old Tea—horse Caravan Road. Dali has many key national tourist areas. These include one national nature reserve (Cangshan mountain and Erhai lake), two historical cultural cities (Dali and Wenshan), three national 4A scenic areas (Island of Nanzhao custom, three pagodas of Chongsheng temple, and mount Jizu in Binchuan) and six national culture relics and so on.

The Shibaoshan Temples and the Shaxi village in Dali
Day1 Lijiang City-- Jianchuan -- Shibao Shan
Night in temple
From Lijiang city, driving about 3hrs to Shibaoshan in Jianchuan town. From Baoxiang Temple we hike 3-4 hours to look around that area, in the mountains there are many small old temples. On the path, you can see very nice views (forests, fields with crops, villages in big valley…). Baoxiang temple is a Chinese Buddhism Temple from Yuan Dynesty. In this area about 3 hundred wild monkeys live with kulapatis around the Baoxiang temple . in the night we will stay in the peaceful temple to get the experience of the people’s life
Weishan temples and Minority villages
Day 1 Dali - Xiaguan - Weishan

In the morning walking around the old town of Dali, then driving about 3 hours to Weishan. On the way to Weishan visit some local villages (Yi or Bai or Hui), crops…………stay hotel/guesthouse
Day 2 Weishan - Weibaoshan - Dali
stay in Dali
After breakfast, driving about 1 and half hour to Weibao shan. Hiking about 3~4hours to visit the temples to meet some Taoists, then driving about 3~4 hours back to Dali.
Two days' trip to Shibaoshan Temple and Shaxi village
Day 1 Lijiang City-- Lashi Lake -- Jiuhe -- Jianchuan -- Shibao Shan
Night in Shibao Shan
From Lijiang city drives about 3 hours to Shibao Shan in Jianchuan area, after lunch do some hiking to visit the temples. On the way from Lijiang city to Shibao Shan area, you can pass by countryside where there are many small different minorities’ villages around fields.
Day 2 Shibao Shan -- Shaxi village-- Lijiang city
In the morning walking around this area to visit other temples, then hiking about 3 hours to Shaxi village, then back to Lijiang city
